Position Summary

Workplace HCM is hiring a Human Resources Manager to lead and oversee our clients’ outsourced HR service needs. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, including strong expertise in employee relations, policy development, compliance, and strategic HR leadership.

The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor and primary liaison between Workplace HCM and an array of clients, employees, and vendors. This role requires both strategic oversight and hands-on execution, ensuring clients receive high-level HR guidance, compliant processes, and exceptional service delivery.

Responsibilities of the Human Resources Manager

  • Lead the development, implementation, and administration of comprehensive human resource programs, policies, and procedures for client organizations.
  • Partner with clients’ leadership teams to develop HR strategies aligned with business goals and organizational growth.
  • Oversee and manage employee relations matters, including coaching, performance management, disciplinary actions, investigations, and conflict resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and reporting requirements; proactively communicate regulatory updates to clients.
  • Direct and oversee HR initiatives including employee training programs, handbook development, job descriptions, legal rollouts, and workforce planning efforts.
  • Provide strategic guidance on compensation, benefits administration, leave management, performance and talent development, employee engagement, and recognition programs.
  • Manage full-cycle recruiting and onboarding processes, including workforce planning, sourcing strategies, interviewing, and onboarding execution.
  • Serve as senior HR resource and escalation point for complex employee and client concerns.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, regular check-ins, and consultative problem-solving.
  • Travel to client locations within the tri-state area as needed (no regular overnight travel required).

Requirements of the Human Resources Manager

  • 5–7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, with prior leadership or management responsibility preferred
  • Extensive employee relations experience including investigations, coaching, performance management, and conflict resolution
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, policies, and procedures
  • In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Proven ability to act as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor
  • Exceptional customer service and client relationship management skills
  • Advanced organizational, administrative, and time management abilities
  • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required
  • SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification required

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work

  • Full-Time / On-Site Position
  • Some travel to clients within the tri-state area
  • Work Hours: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday
